- Facilitator: Carmen Li, Preventive Conservation Manager, U of A Museums
This orientation and training session will include an introduction to U of A Museums, tours of selected collections on campus, MIMSY XG training, hands-on object care and handling, and an overview of collections management best practices. Participants will be introduced to collections other than the ones in which they routinely work, gain an understanding of basic museum practices, and have the opportunity to meet staff, interns and students from other collections on campus.
Participants are encouraged—but not required—to attend both days, as different topics will be covered each day.
Space is limited to 12 participants. Please pre-register by email or phone 780.492.5834 before Friday, May 25.
