Conservation
Conservation aims to preserve cultural heritage for future generations, and can include interventive treatment or preventive care. Currently, our focus at the University of Alberta Museums is on preventive care, which strives to prevent or mitigate damage to objects through the creation and maintenance of a protective environment whether in storage, on exhibit, or in transit. We can also provide advice and facilitate treatment intervention when necessary.
